Kenneth "Micky" Coughlin, the President of Rustic Pools, Inc., has been building and repairing pools for over 25 years. 

Early on, Micky had the benefit of hands-on experience with the many types of materials and techniques used in the construction of pools, and was convinced that vinyl offered superior aesthetic and maintenance benefits as compared to gunite/plaster or fiberglass pools.  He recognized the benefits of vinyl, but was concerned about the wall materials and the type of construction commonly used: wooden walls were susceptible to rot and decay, metal could rust, and fiberglass panels were found to bow.  Finding these methods unacceptable, Micky continued his research to find the perfect combination of materials and construction techniques that would enable him to build affordable pools with structural integrity.
